Joanne

“I don’t cook—I plan. I’ve been a manager for over 20 years. I manage chefs, events, people, and details. I get my kicks planning appropriate menus for different types of events.” ..

Danielle

“Watch your fingers, we’re playing with knives and cooking with flames. If I look serious it’s because I’m in a serious business. I want your event to go smoothly without any hitches.”

Evan

A dashing, detailed, focused and innovative chef. His goal is to use his creativity to prepare his take on comfort food (preferably Mexican). He cares that his food is the best that it can be.

About us

“For us it’s more than just food, it’s a tribute to Mom’s home-cooking!”

Why we do this

We’re not trying to be different and trendy with our approach to food. Our aim is to serve up a great food without all the fancy and pricey ‘pomp’. We want to go back to the basics and cook up the finest foods that bring back the fondest memories of good, old-fashioned entertaining

Cinnamon who?

After owning a movie catering company for six years Joanne opened Cinnamon Girls in 2005 to pursue a different approach to catering, one that offers simple, satisfying and tasty food without the price tag that comes with the additional “pomp & circumstance”.

Evan came on board as chef soon after. His approach to take-away, home-cooked meals is a hit in the progressive and creative West Queen West neighborhood.
